About Eddie
Eddie is our mini donkey and the self-appointed little brother of the herd. He is friendly, charming, and surprisingly clever. Best of all, he always wants to join whatever the cows are doing—whether they invited him or not.
Although Eddie is small, he has a big personality. He is wonderfully stubborn and knows exactly what he wants. If he has made up his mind, he isn’t likely to change it. He is also a little fussy and full of opinions. Naturally, he believes everything should happen on his schedule!
Like all the animals at The Vintage Village, Eddie is raised with care and is an important part of daily life on our homestead. Whether he is greeting visitors, following the herd, or simply being his curious self, he always brings smiles to everyone he meets.
So, be sure to stop by and meet Eddie during your visit to The Vintage Village. Chances are he’ll be the first one to come over and introduce himself!

Miniature Donkeys, also known as Mediterranean Miniature Donkeys, were first imported to the United States in 1929 by Robert Green, a New York stockbroker. He bought seven Sardinian donkeys, sight unseen, while on a trip to Europe and sent them to his stud farm in New Jersey.
