FAQ

Do I need to store my eggs in the refrigerator?

That depends!  Fresh eggs come with something called “bloom”. The bloom, also known as the cuticle, is a natural, waxy coating on the outside of an egg that protects its contents from contaminants.  If you wash the eggs, they will lose their bloom, and therefore will need to be refrigerated and good for 4 to 6 weeks.  When you purchase eggs here at the Village, they come unwashed and counter stable for 3 to 4 weeks and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 months!
